In General |
|
Each gite is described
opposite but in general terms
all have open plan living,
dining and kitchen areas on the
ground floor and are fully
furnished and equipped with all
necessities to provide a
comfortable self catering home
from home. |
|
There
are tiled floors throughout the
ground floors that help keep the
interior cool in the hot summer.
There are new fitted kitchen
units with stainless steel 1 and
a 1/2 bowl sink, fridge, washing
machine, microwave, electric
kettle and toaster and all
crockery, cutlery, glassware,
pans, ovenware and kitchen tools
sufficient to whip up a gourmet
meal. The 2 and 3 bed gites have
built-in gas hob and electric
oven while the 1 bed has a gas
cooker. If there is any item you
need that isn’t already provided
we are on hand and happy to
respond to any reasonable
requests.
|
|
We have furnished our gites
in a traditional style wherever
possible and have tried to cater
for all types and sizes of
groups but we have spare items
of furniture available should
you need something extra. We
also have travel cots, high
chairs and stair gates but please
let us have your requirements in
advance so we can ensure
availability. |
|
In
the 2 and 3 bed gites in
particular we can join or
separate most of the beds for
individuals or couples. In each
lounge area we have provided a
television with UK Freesat
channels and DVD/CD player,
comfortable sofas, easy chairs,
rugs, occasional tables and
bookcases with a decent supply
and variety of books from the
many we have gathered over the
years. |
|
 |
Our gites are named after the
climbing plant that grows up the front
wall of each one. |
|
 |
As all the gites are not yet
fully completed, we have only
put a couple of photographs on
this page but as soon as
progress permits we will add
more.

1 Bed Gite –
La Rose (The Rose) |
|
|
|
This was
apparently a
dwelling at some
time, perhaps
for farm workers
or more recently
when it was used
for furniture
production, one
of the
cabinet-makers. |

2 Bed Gite – Glycines (Wisteria) |
|
|
|
Created from
part of the
original stables
and animal
shelter, this
gite is laid out
very similar to
the 1 bed but
with the
addition of a
2nd bedroom
downstairs next
to the lounge. |

3 Bed Gite La Vigne (The Vine) |
|
|
|
This gite
incorporates the
remainder of the
stables and the
former hay barn.
This was
originally an
open fronted
barn used for
storing and
drying the hay
and straw. |
